At BNWoodenBox, we take pride in crafting high-quality, handmade, and often personalized wooden boxes, including velvet-lined storage boxes, gift boxes, jewelry boxes, carved/engraved items, and custom packaging solutions. Many of our products are made-to-order or customized with engravings, logos, names, or specific designs, which impacts our return and refund options. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.
1. Eligibility for Returns
- Non-customized/standard products: You may return most new, unused, and unopened items within 7 days of delivery for a full refund of the item price (excluding original shipping fees).
- Customized/personalized products: Items that have been personalized (e.g., engraved names, logos, custom sizes, specific carvings, or made-to-order designs) are non-returnable and non-refundable unless they are defective, or not as described. This is because custom items are created specifically for you and cannot be resold.
- All returned items must be in their original condition: Unused, with all tags/labels attached, in original packaging, and free from damage caused by the customer. Sale items, clearance products, or items marked as “final sale” are non-returnable.
2. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If your product arrives 50 % damaged, defective, or significantly different from what was ordered: Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Provide your order number, clear photos of the issue, and a brief description.
We will review your case promptly (usually within 1–2 business days) and offer one of the following:
- A full replacement (at no extra cost).
- A full refund (excluding original shipping fees).
- We work with our shipping partners to resolve transit damage claims where applicable.
3. Cancellation Policy
- Standard orders: You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placement if production has not started. Contact us immediately via email or our contact form.
- Custom/personalized orders: Once design approval, personalization details, or production begins, orders are non-cancellable and non-refundable.
If we are unable to fulfill your order (e.g., material unavailability), we will notify you and issue a full refund.
4. Return Shipping and Costs
For eligible returns (non-custom, non-defective), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs and ensuring the package is properly packed to prevent damage.
We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we are not responsible for lost returns.
If the return is due to our error (wrong item, damage, etc.), we will cover return shipping and provide a prepaid label if requested.
5. Refund Process
- Once we receive and inspect the returned item (usually within 3–5 business days), we will process your refund.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method (credit/debit card, UPI, net banking, etc.).
- Refunds typically appear in your account within 7–14 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.
- Shipping fees, handling charges, and any taxes are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
- No cash refunds are offered; all refunds go back to the original payment method.
6. How to Initiate a Return or Refund Request

2. Include photos if the issue involves damage or defect.
3. We will provide instructions and, if applicable, a return authorization.
4. Ship the item back to the address we provide (usually our Jaipur warehouse).

Important Notes
- We do not accept returns on used, altered, or damaged (by customer) items.
- All products are handmade, so minor variations in wood grain, finish, or color may occur and are not considered defects.
- This policy complies with applicable Indian consumer protection laws but prioritizes fairness given the custom nature of our products.
