How did we create this wedding dress storage box?
Creating a box to store wedding dresses is not that easy. Wedding dresses are expensive and can be affected with acidic effect if they get contacted directly with wood. To store or preserve a wedding dress for a long period of time, we need an acid free box.
To make this kind of box we took the help of an expert artisan who is experienced in lining the wooden box.
Lining of velvet fabric will create a partition between dress and wood, so that dress can be safe. After understanding why the lining is important to store the dress. We lined it with velvet fabric all over the box from inside to outside.
After that we created an inner lining with more premium fabric that is in cream colour to provide it some premiumness. We also added some acid free paper so we can be sure that the dress will be acid free in the box.
We left the upper lid for personalization or for any message written for the couple.
In making of this box we mainly used plywood and mdf wood that is durable and light weight perfect to make a wedding dress storage box. The perfect lining of velvet fabric gives it a more premium look and ensures safety from teariness.
